Getting a stain on your baby’s clothes, does not mean you need to throw them out. All you need is to know how to remove baby food stains. As we all know, prevention is better than cure. Ensure that your baby is wearing a bib when it comes to meal times. There are bibs available now that cover the baby’s arms too. If you notice that there is a lot of mess, you might want to consider putting a little less food on the spoon.
If food has managed to get on your baby’s clothes, you can try using shaving foam to get rid of the stain. Dab the foam into the stain before it has time to dry and let it soak for 30-45 minutes. Rinse and launder as normal. Another trick is to use a mixture of equal measures of water and hydrogen peroxide as a spray on the stain. Leave this to soak for about 30 minutes. Rinse this with a mixture of equal measures of water and vinegar. Once again, launder as normal. In both cases, if the stain has not been removed, repeat the process before laundering.
You should never rub a stain, as this may actually spread the stain and if the fabric is any way delicate, it could ruin it. It’s also a good idea not to wash the clothes in water that is too hot, use warm water instead.
