Your baby shower was superb and you received lovely gifts and now you want to thank those thoughtful people that you received the gifts from. You might want a few tips for writing thank you notes for baby shower gifts. It’s a good idea to write all thank you cards within 30 days of receiving the gift. Being an expectant mother, you will want to get as many things as possible done before the baby is born.
There are numerous thank you cards to choose from, so get one that best fits your personality or you can opt for plain ones. Take a few moments to think about what you want to say. It’s nice to make the cards personal, so mention the gift that was received and what it means to you. For example, if your auntie knitted an outfit for your baby, thank her for her time and mention how cosy it will be for the baby. Let her know that you appreciate the effort she has put in. Also sign the card from all the family, mentioning names. Again, this just makes it a little more personal.
Thank each person that attended the shower, not only for the gift, but also for taking the time to be there. Be specific about the gift and let the giver know how thoughtful you think they have been in what they have chosen to give for the baby. Make the thank you note brief and positive.
Don’t forget to thank those who organised the baby shower. It can be a lot of hard work. Make sure to let them know you appreciate all the effort they have put in to make your party a success.
If by chance your baby has been born by the time your thank you cards are going out, be sure to send a photo of your new addition to the family!
